Donald Trump announces his 2016 candidacy - yes, really!

Donald Trump announces his 2016 candidacy - yes, really"Sadly, the American dream is dead. But if I get elected President I'll bring it back. Bigger, better, and stronger than ever before." That's the word from billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump who, just moments ago, announced he was running for President. I don't have much to add to his bombastic speech, so I'll simply say this. Whatever happens with Trump's candidacy, it was incredibly refreshing to hear someone who is unapologetic about their wealth and success.
2012 gave us a mealy-mouthed Mitt Romney who was constantly trying to shirk the fact that he was a well-heeled success story. It felt like he was always trying to deny his financial reality in a phony effort to be "just like you." Trump isn't doing that at all. As he put it, he's "the most successful person ever to run for the presidency, by far." He's famously claimed he has "a Gucci store worth more money than Romney." ...And I love that. To hell with the "wealth-shamers." It's about time SOMEONE decided to stand up and be proud of their own success. You're whining about "income inequality" because you're unsuccessful? Sorry. That sounds like a "you problem." He vowed to repeal ObamaCare, build a "great, great, wall" on our Southern border, and says he'll never be beholden to lobbyist money because "I don't need it." Here are a few quotes from Trump's speech, and a fifteen minute clip:
"We don't have victories anymore. We used to have victories. But we don't have ‘em. When was the last time anybody saw us beating, let's say, China in a trade deal? They kill us. I beat China all the time." "Their leaders are much smarter than our leaders. It's like taking the New England Patriots and Tom Brady and have them play your high school football team. That's the difference between our leaders and China's leaders."

"How the hell can you vote for this guy?" (regarding Jeb Bush) "Last quarter, it was just announced, our Gross Domestic Product. A sign of strength right? Not for us. It was below zero! Who ever heard of this? It's never below zero. Our labor participation rate was the worst since 1978. Think of it. GDP below zero. Horrible labor participation rate, and our real unemployment is anywhere between 18 and 21 percent." "China has our jobs, Mexico has our jobs. They all have our jobs." "Our enemies are getting stronger and stronger by the day and we as a country are getting weaker." "ObamaCare really kicks in in 2016. Obama's going to be out playing golf. He might even be on one of my courses. I would invite him. I have the best courses in the world - so I’d say 'y'know what? If he wants to, I have one right next to the White House. Right on the Potomac. If he'd like to play, that's fine. In fact I'd like him to leave early and play." "Ladies and gentlemen I am officially running for president of the United States and we are going to make our country great again."
