Two dozen Democrats sponsor House bill to eliminate words 'husband' and 'wife' from federal law

I give up. Those of you who elected these people, you know who you are. If you won't do the honorable thing now so the rest of us can finally get some peace . . . hey, I've got nothing left if we've descended all the way to this:

More than two dozen Democrats have proposed legislation that would eliminate the words "husband" and "wife" from federal law. Those "gendered terms" would be replaced by "gender-neutral" words like "spouse" or "married couple," according to the bill from Rep. Lois Capps, D-Calif (sic). "The Amend the Code for Marriage Equality Act recognizes that the words in our laws have meaning and can continue to reflect prejudice and discrimination even when rendered null by our highest courts," Capps said. "Our values as a country are reflected in our laws. I authored this bill because it is imperative that our federal code reflect the equality of all marriages." The Supreme Court ruled in June that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution means all states have to license same-sex marriages, a ruling that effectively ended the same-sex marriage debate in America. Capps said her bill was aimed at taking the next step, which is to ensure the United States Code "reflects the equality of all marriages."
The excerpt above notwithstanding, Congresswoman Capps represents a district in northwest Wisconsin. If I were the voters in that district, I'd seriously consider the possibility that their 77-year-old representative has served long enough. And as much as I don't want to take idiocy like this too seriously, you can clearly see a pattern on the secular left of attacking all distinctions in gender - which I think as a larger proposition is an attack on the idea that God gave you certain parts and that you're supposed to use them as designed. Which, of course, is an attack on God's sovereignty over the life of any individual or over the world in general. Not that I think these two dozen members of Congress are cognizant of any such agenda. They're just morons following the cultural rot of the moment. That's usually how cultural rot gets advanced. I can't wait to tell my wife about this. And if Congresswoman Capps would like to tell me I can't say that anymore, we'll just see what happens.
