Breitbart uncovers 2001 CBS News video that completely vindicates Trump's 9/11 story

We've said the same thing all along about Donald Trump's story that he saw celebrates of 9/11 in New Jersey right after the attacks: Media claims that this is a "lie" are based on the absurd notion that if they, the media, can't find evidence of an event in their own reporting, then the event by definition never took place and the person talking about it is a liar. There are a lot of reasons that proposition is Bolshevik:
1. They don't cover everything that ever happens. 2. They may not be doing a very good job now of tracking down the old information. They also may not be trying very hard to find the information because they want to accuse Trump of being a liar. 3. You can't prove a negative, so when someone says he saw something happened, all the people who didn't see it or didn't hear about it can't claim it's a "fact" that it didn't happen. Maybe they just didn't pay enough attention. Maybe they're idiots. Maybe they did hear about it but it ran counter to their ideological predilections so they denied it or pretended it had to be something else. Anyway, plenty of people have come out in corroboration of Trump's story - saying that they too saw and heard about celebrations at the time. And now we have this, uncovered by Breitbart this morning:

Support Canada Free Press

Writer John Nolte explains why the story does, in fact, vindicate Trump's recollection that he saw "thousands and thousands" of people celebrating - a claim that Nolte himself had doubted until today:
You want to get into semantics about how many people make up a swarm? But that’s not all. You have to add up all of the contemporaneous news reports. You are Donald Trump. You are taking in all the news during that awful week. You are told by the media that “swarms” of Muslims in a known terrorist’s neighborhood were seen on rooftops celebrating 9/11. Just two days earlier you have read this in the New York Post: Here in New York, it was easy to get angry listening to Egyptians, Palestinians and the Arabs of nearby Paterson, N.J., celebrate as they received word of the murderous attack in New York and Washington. But Mayor Giuliani (who has been tireless and magnificent in this crisis) rightly warned New Yorker-ers that is would be wrong to take their anger our on the city’s Arab and Muslim residents. Attacks on Arab-Americans in Paterson or elsewhere are utterly indefensible. You hear radio news reports about Muslims celebrations. MTV runs a news report about Muslim celebrations. From all of those news reports, it is perfectly reasonable and nothing close to lying to put together a picture of “thousands”. FACT: Donald Trump is now 100% vindicated.
Nolte is correct. Adding up everything that was reported at the time that Trump could have seen, it's perfectly reasonable that he could have taken from it all that "thousands and thousands" of people were celebrating, and it's perfectly reasonable even today to think that it may well have been the truth. You certainly can't say Trump is lying, not in the face of all this. Also, remember something: The media are very invested in the narrative that Muslims are peace-loving and that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism, and that any suggestion that terrorism is a distinctly Islamic thing is a right-wing talking point they do not wish to promote. So it's entirely reasonable to think that if massive Muslim celebrations were happening at the time, the media would have ignored it then, just as it's reasonable to think they would not look for any such reports with much enthusiasm today. That's why you should never let them get away with saying, "This didn't happen. We can't confirm it from media reports." The media choose what to report, and their choices are driven by their biases. Always have been. Despite the hysterical insistences of moron Chuck Todd, no one is in any position to call Donald Trump a liar over this. And now Breitbart has revealed what was really reported in the aftermath of 9/11. I wonder how many other media also found that story, but declined to air it so as not to give up their Trump-is-a-liar narrative. My bet would be one hell of a lot. They've always been liars.
