In case you thought he was going to back off...

Trump releases first TV ad - doubles down on 'controversial' rhetoric.

So far, Trump has managed to run a powerful juggernaut of a campaign while spending only a fraction of the cash being burned by his competitors. By deftly exploiting the media, Trump has kept his payout to a minimum and his exposure to a maximum. In fact, he famously called out Jeb Bush supporters for squandering $50 million dollars on a "low energy" presidential bid that has failed to gain any sort of momentum.

Now things are about to change - at least in terms of Trump's spending. According to his campaign, he'll be spending $2 Million a week during the run-up to the Iowa caucuses. Most of that will be going to TV ad buys. Today, the first commercial hit the web. If you thought he was going to "tone down" his opinions, you were mistaken... (Video below) Muslim ban? Check. Mexican fence? Check. Kill ISIS and take their oil? Check. That should make a few left-wing heads explode. Some of you are probably thinking that you've seen Trump spots before, and you're right - sort of. Previously, he released a series of web-only clips that took shots at Hillary, the Obama admin, etc. The Star Wars clip below is a good example. Trump's ad-buys come at a time when many people, including some of his supporters, are wondering if the enthusiasm he's enjoyed thus far will translate into actual votes. We know "The Donald" can sell himself, but does he have the political machine and ground game needed to get the faithful to the polls?
