Something in the Air

"There are now two Americas: one conservative; the other liberal. Increasingly, we no longer just disagree, but we despise each other." -- Jeffrey Kuhner "Will America Break" "You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man's age-old dream -- the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order -- or down to the ash heap of totalitarianism." -- Ronald Reagan (1911-2004)

Lawfare, Voluntary Surrender, and Right-wing “Extremists”

The Intelligentsia, Intellectuals, and Other Idiots

Distinguished professors, gifted poets, and influential journalists [and academics, and politicians, and lawyers, and judges, and...] summoned their talents to convince all who would listen that modern tyrants were liberators and that their unconscionable crimes were noble.... Whoever takes it upon himself to write an honest intellectual history of twentieth-century Europe [and America] will need a strong stomach. -- Professor Mark Lilla, Columbia University "The Reckless Mind"

The Real American Narrative

image"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve" --Japanese Admiral Yamamoto after the attack on Pearl Harbor (from the film "Tora! Tora! Tora!") "You've awakened a sleeping giant." -- Katy Abram to Sen. Arlen Spector at a Town Hall meeting, early August, 2009. In a recent article in "The Weekly Standard," Jeff Bergner wrote about the American Narrative -- how it has been written by the Left; adopted by our culture, and accepted by Democrats and Republicans alike. Bergner says that the Narrative goes something like this: From its founding, America has been working towards the ideal of equality for all. This goal is an inevitable certainty, although it must be aided now and again by the use of will, and power. The best means of ensuring equality for all, is through the auspices of strong government entitlement programs. Those who oppose the Narrative are evil, backward, selfish rubes, who place their own self-interest before the welfare of others. The Narrative also says that American exceptionalism is a misguided, parochial elitism, that prevents world peace, and encourages a divisive American arrogance.

The Constitution, Nazis, and the Corpse Man

imageRecently I've noticed several things that the Progressives are having trouble with. Well, actually a LOT of things, but this article will focus on just a few of them. First of all, Obama, like most Progressives, seems to have a problem identifying the U.S. Constitution. In his State of the Union address, Obama stated that "We find unity in our incredible diversity, drawing on the promise enshrined in our Constitution: the notion that we are all created equal...." Darn near made me want to stand up and salute, (something our POTUS could use some lessons in, by the way). There's a problem here, however. It turns out that "the notion that we are all created equal" is not "enshrined in our Constitution" -- it's from the Declaration of Independence.

1776: Victory, or Death?

"Posterity (to all future generations) you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it." -- John Quincy Adams (1767-1848) Sixth President of the United States "The [Revolutionary] war was a longer, far more arduous, and more painful struggle than later generations would understand or sufficiently appreciate." -- David McCullough

Hey, let’s talk about Islam!

If one goes by the Pentagon's recent report on the Ft. Hood terrorist attack, the Pentagon's PC putzes wouldn't recognize a Muslim terrorist if one jumped up and bit them on the butt. So in the interest of national security, I have collected some statements made by folks over the years, which might point the Pentagon in the right direction. One lives in hope -- the poor dears are awfully slow on the uptake though.

Scott Brown: A Warning Shot Across the Bow

"By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled, Here once the embattled farmers stood, And fired the shot heard round the world." From the "Concord Hymn" by Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

How’s That Global Warming Working Out For Ya?

image "Few would deny any longer that Communism-Marxism-Leninism and its variants -- meant in practice, bloody terrorism, deadly purges, lethal gulags and forced labor, fatal deportations, man-made famines, extrajudicial executions and show trials, and genocide. It is also widely known that as a result millions of innocent people have been murdered in cold blood." -- R.J. Rummel "Socialists have to be the stupidest people on the planet." -- R.D. Walker

Scott Brown’s Run for the Senate

image"She does not want to meet with me, one-on-one, because I personally believe she's afraid to show that her policies are so out of touch with the citizens of Massachusetts who are footing the bill for the out-of-control spending in Washington." -- Scott Brown criticizing opponent Martha Coakley (Dem-MA) There's a real possibility that "The People's Collective of Massachusetts" might elect a conservative Republican to fill the late Senator Ted Kennedy's vacant Senate seat. Will wonders never cease.

Europe to Investigate the UN Over “Pandemic” Scam

"UN report says pandemic may result in anarchy -- 'could kill millions' -- unless western world pays for antiviral drugs and vaccines!" -- From "The Guardian" September 20, 2009 WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama has declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency, giving his health chief the power to let hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and protect non-infected patients. -- Associated Press -- October 25, 2009

Nazi Eurabia, and America’s Fate

"The Crusader would have been quite justified in suspecting the Muslim even if the Muslim had merely been a new stranger; but as a matter of history he was already an old enemy. The critic of the Crusade talks as if it had sought out some inoffensive tribe or temple in the interior of Tibet, which was never discovered until it was invaded. They seem entirely to forget that long before the Crusaders had dreamed of riding to Jerusalem, the Muslims had almost ridden into Paris." -- G.K Chesterton (1874-1936) "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people." -- Qur'an (5:51) "No one can be a true Muslim and a true American simultaneously." -- Wafa Sultan (From "A God Who Hates")

Arguing With “Global Warming” Idiots

"Two thousand scientists, in a hundred countries, engaged in the most elaborate, well organized scientific collaboration [scam] in the history of humankind, have produced long-since a consensus that we will face a string of terrible catastrophes unless we act to prepare ourselves and deal with the underlying causes of global warming." -- Al Gore "As public opposition continues to stall Congress's cap-and-tax legislation, Environmental Protection Agency [EPA] bureaucrats plan to regulate carbon emissions themselves, doing an end run around the American people." -- Sarah Palin

The Islamification of America, and the Emasculation of the U.S. Military

image"The Muslims refuse our culture and try to impose their culture on us. I reject them, and this is not only my duty toward my culture -- it is toward my values, my principles, my civilization." -- Oriana Fallaci (1929-2006) "There exists a law, not written down anywhere, but in our hearts.... I refer to the law which lays it down that, if our lives are endangered by plots, or violence, or armed robbers, or enemies, any and every method of protecting ourselves is morally right." --Cicero (106-43 BC)

How Much Longer Before Climategate Explodes?

imageimage

"You call it 'Climategate,' I call it 'E-mail-theft-gate. ...This is a crime." -- Senator Barbara Boxer Well, Barbara "Call Me Senator" Boxer, at least got the crime part right. The Lame Stream Media (LSM) are doing their best to ignore Climategate, while they desperately try to come up with some consensus on how to spin it. Well guess what bozos, you can't spin this one, it's too big. You keep standing in its way, and it'll squash you like a steam-roller going over a marshmallow. This isn't just the biggest story of the 21st century. This is the biggest fraud in world history. Good luck spinning this one away.

Attention Lawyers!  Make Millions Off Of Climategate Crooks!

"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." -- Thomas Jefferson (1743--1826) "What we are faced with is a tyranny, world wide, over the mind and body of man, and it is the duty of every red blooded United States citizen to oppose with every fiber of his being what is being done...by this Administration to try and sign away your Constitution at Copenhagen." -- Lord Christopher Monckton November 28, 2009

Climategate Criminals, and Getting Our Money Back

image"They are not merely bad scientists — they are crooks. And crooks who have perpetrated their crimes at the expense of British and U.S. taxpayers. I am angry, and so should you be." -- Lord Christopher Monckton November 23, 2009 In a recent article, Lord Monckton pointed out that, far from suffering from global warming, the planet has experienced "rapid and significant cooling" over the past nine years.

Navy SEALs May Go to Prison for Giving a Fat Lip to Islamic Terrorist

image"I hope they Mirandized this Ahmed Hashim Abed guy before they punched him." -- Rush Limbaugh On March 31, 2004, a small convoy guarded by four American civilian contractors was ambushed at Fallujah, Iraq, and the guards were killed. The bodies of the four Blackwater security guards were burnt, hacked, and two of the mutilated bodies were hung for display on a bridge over the Euphrates river.
