Two days into the launch of #1 New York Times bestselling author Dinesh D'Souza's new book THE BIG LIE, D'Souza's mega-popular Facebook page (over 2 million fans) was hacked. D'Souza was locked out of his own account; his promotional campaign for the book was halted; and the hacker began posting explicit and upsetting images as D'Souza. The next day, Regnery Publishing's own business account was frozen after Facebook detected "unusual activity."
As a conservative book publisher, Regnery is accustomed to attacks from people who don't like our books. That's fine with us—we welcome criticism and debate. But this attack was something different. This was an orchestrated, underhanded campaign to sabotage a book launch.
