Last January, the left-wing mecca known as California implemented Assembly Bill 60, which allowed illegal aliens to apply for driver's licenses in the state. Conservatives argued that it would further legitimize an army of people who were already gaming the immigration system. Liberals, as always, responded by mocking those concerns.
If you were against the bill, you were some kind of paranoid delusional who'd created an elaborate fantasy about an imaginary legion of border-crossers who salivated at the thought of using our roads. This group of people, the left argued, either didn't exist or was at best microscopic.
