  • ICLEI - International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, Promotes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to local Municipalities, etc.,
  • Subsidiaries and Partners of ICLEI
    • Partners for Climate Protection (PCP)
    • BARC[1] – Building Adaptive and Resilient Communities (Membership required)
    • Partners - Federation of Canadian Municipalities – see graphic below.

And as of July 2022, yet another representative, from China, continues in the role as the UN Secretary-General Appoints Li Junhua of China Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs.[2] This trend will only continue.

BREAK DOWN: The U.N., ICLEI & The China Solution Part 6

There are so many issues with the mandate of the UN, including, but not limited to, the interference in sovereign nations, as expressed in “11.3 By 2030, enhance inclusive and sustainable urbanization and capacity for participatory, integrated and sustainable human settlement planning and management in all countries.” Whether the signatories understand this is to be a volunteer non-mandatory initiative, or not, very few member states would want to be bullied and/or coerced by other countries, including dealing with the “China solution,” if they do not agree to this Agenda.

And what is this cause? Is this a movement for the protection of people, the environment and climate change or is this merely a mandate to undermine a number of countries through a propose ideology that blatantly harms democracy? Any member of the UN, or its Executive, that is a member of the People’s Republic of China could be considered as an enemy of Western Democracy, merely working for the People’s Republic of China, and should not be involved in or advising the United Nations Secretary-General on all development-related issues, including climate change, internet governance, and financing for development.
