You've already seen my reaction to President Trump's gun control train wreck. If you haven't, you can check it out HERE. Now, Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse (R) has chimed in with his thoughts on the 2nd Amendment, bans, and delayed due process.
Make no mistake. If Barack Obama had said the things President Trump said in this week's Gun Control meeting, conservatives would be taking the pitchforks and torches to the streets. Their outrage would be loud, unanimous, and justified.
I love Nancy Pelosi and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Whether it's one of her incoherent press conferences, an unscripted deer-in-the-headlights media hit, or a mid-interview on-air media meltdown, Nancy always delivers. If democrats are going to push one of their hare-brained schemes, I want Nancy to be leading the charge. Like I said, I'm an unabashed fan.

Dick's Sporting Goods, one of the nation's largest sporting goods chains, is no longer going to sell "assault weapons." If you really pay attention, and have a good memory, you might be experiencing a bout of Déjà vu.
Back in 2012, pretty much everyone thought ObamaCare was going to be struck down as unconstitutional. The Obama admin had claimed, repeatedly, that the healthcare law was not a tax and that seemed to be the only way to justify its existence.
Dianne Feinstein is nothing if not a staunch left-winger. Yes, every now and then she might express an idea that the radical base is uncomfortable with but, by and large, she toes the Democrat line. Still, she has a problem. "Toeing the line" is no longer good enough.

At this point, we've heard everything - and everyone - under the sun blamed for the systemic failure that allowed the Florida gunman to carry out his rampage.
Don't worry, everyone. Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel is aware that "everything wasn't done perfectly" in the response to the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Considering the fact that the FBI failed, the Sheriff's department failed, the school failed, and the officers on the scene failed, Israel's comment is probably the understatement of the century.
Yesterday, I asked why anyone would ever be surprised that CNN would stack the deck in their gun control "Town Hall." Gun control, along with socialized medicine, is one of their two ideological holy grails. Anyone who's watched CNN for any length of time knows that. CNN issued a strong denial, but they've done this sort of thing in their debates and in their coverage, so it's no stretch to think they'd do it here.
Is there anyone out there who still takes CNN seriously? That's not a rhetorical question. I'm honestly curious. I know a few people will occasionally take a stab at defending Jake Tapper, but even that's getting tough lately.
Like Pence's speech yesterday, Trump's CPAC appearance covered a lot of territory. From the school shooting in Florida to MS-13, to DACA and ObamaCare, his freeform address was part victory lap, part promise, and part ...just a guywho seems to be enjoying himself.
By now, you've probably seen the accusation. Stoneman Douglas High School student Colton Haab, a member of the JROTC program who shielded other students during the attack, claims CNN provided him with a scripted question to ask at last night's gun control show trial.
Mike Pence just delivered his address to CPAC 2018 and, by all accounts, he knocked it out of the park.
The speech is one part outline of the administration's successful first year, one part attack on the media, one part desire to unite populists and party-loyalists, and about ten parts warm-up for President Trump's speech tomorrow.

Nancy Pelosi really doesn't want to see that wall built. She's got an army of very angry illegals following her around, and if she doesn't pander to them in just the right way, they start yelling. Nancy finds yelling upsetting, even if she can yell louder than anyone. So, to appease her base, she's decided to offer an alternative to building a wall.
Whenever Pelosi appears in public, you can count on two things. She'll pander to illegals, and she'll play the "1% card." She's practically built a political empire by exploiting the jealousy of her left-wing base. Pelosi's basic argument is the same as all liberals: If someone has more than you, they've gotten it by keeping you down.
Michael Moore is the ultimate capitalist. Oh sure, he beats the socialist drum, but he does it for a buck. If you look at his life - complete with Harvey Weinstein parties and an array of multimillion-dollar homes - you'll quickly realize he's a 21st Century snake-oil salesman who decries the "1%" while coveting money and the comforts that come with it. ...And hey, more power to him. He has a gimmick that sells, and it's made him a fortune.
They knew this would happen. They desperately wanted to derail the Republican tax bill because, behind closed doors, they were always terrified it would turn out to be as popular as it is. "They" are the Democrats and their slavish media allies, and "they" have been having a tough go of it lately.
Meet Elizabeth Swaney. She's a thoroughly average skier, probably no better than anyone you could find at your average, regional, Mount Trashmore. Unlike your average skier, she just competed in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in women's ski halfpipe.
Thanks to her ability to read the rules, she figured out a way to qualify while having little actual ability.
If the Democrats - oh, sorry, I mean "the totally unbiased and ideologically pure Robert Mueller" really had the goods on Trump colluding with Russians, they'd want you to know about. It would do nothing but serve their 2018 narrative to have that information available to the public. They'd put it in their ads, mention it on every TV broadcast, and use it as the central plank in their midterm platform. "Elect us, and we'll impeach the Russian conspirator."
