Batman and Robin wade into the Swamp to out the Clinton Foundation

Batman and Robin wade into the Swamp to out the Clinton FoundationTotal attendance in the Capital Building room, where a hearing of a House subcommittee was held last December 13, could fit into a rural Middle School bathroom. The second panel that day to come before the House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Government Operations, chaired by Mark Meadows (R. NC.), was boycotted by all its Democrat members. But they did send their Washington, D.C. "Delegate," Eleanor Holmes Norton (D.), to be both ranking and only minority member there.

John Taylor, a common sentinel devoted to awakening an army

John Taylor, a common sentinel devoted to awakening an armyJohn Taylor of Caroline County, Virginia (b. 1753) is not among the Pantheon of American Founders, but he merits remembering. Multiple exchanges of correspondence between Taylor and George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison are found in their Papers. Scholarly books by Garrett Sheldon and C. William Hill, Jr., document Taylor's role in early American political history. In his 70 years, Taylor was many things: a lawyer who graduated from William and Mary College in 1770; a Colonel of Calvary in the American Army during the Revolutionary War; a farmer and published agriculturalist; a politician serving on-and-off in the U.S. Senate representing Virginia; a lifelong reader that included Aristotle, Cicero, Machiavelli; a husband and father of three. Somehow, amongst all that, he found time to write.

James Madison on dysfunctional government

James Madison on dysfunctional governmentThere are seriously negative consequences to America as a result of the tabloidization of the erratic and bizarre behavior of America's ruling class--elected and unelected--that navigate in, over, and around the D.C. Swamp. The man often called The Father of the U.S. Constitution foresaw the worst of those consequences as "the mischievous effects of a mutable government." He imagined several of those effects in Federalist Paper No. 62 as, like very few other among the nation's pantheon of Founders, he peered over the horizon into what could go wrong in the new Republic.

If we can keep it: A trilogy of warnings from three of America's founders

Three leading members of the pantheon of America's founders warned us of what lay ahead: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. Washington was a wily fox in combat. He had a unique ability--gained from years of exploring and surveying the land--to see the battlefield from above and adjust his field position when necessary. Sometimes just in time. He stayed with his army throughout the Revolutionary War. The monument to him in Washington, D.C. is not tall enough.

Declining liberal Protestant churches are soft targets for hostile takeovers

Declining liberal Protestant churches are soft targets for hostile takeoversThe United Methodist Church may soon become the last of the more liberal "Seven Sisters" of Protestantism in America to fully align with a progressive worldview. In late February, lay and clergy delegates from the second largest Protestant denomination in the U.S., along with United Methodist Church (UMC) delegations from several other nations, will decide whether or not to yield to an LGBTQ hostile takeover.

A looming sense of foreboding in America

A looming sense of foreboding in America In his response to the cascade of last-minute accusations of sexual misconduct directed at him, Judge Brett Kavanaugh said:
"I understand the passions of the moment. But I would say to those senators, 'Your words have meaning.' Millions of Americans listened carefully to you. Given comments like those, is it any surprise that people have been willing to do anything, to make any physical threat against my family, to send any violent email to my wife? To make any kind of allegation against me and against my friends? To blow me up and take me down? (He then said) "You sowed the wind. For decades to come, I fear the whole country will reap the whirlwind."

Time is running out for Hollywood’s political pundits

Time is running out for Hollywood’s political pundits The shelf life of Hollywood stars who lobby in support of liberal memes is running out. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for us, the future is headed toward a CGI end. CGI isn’t a deadly disease. But it will eliminate more than a few careers in the film industry.

When it ends, where will all the hate go?

When it ends, where will all the hate go? America’s weariness with the Mueller Investigation grows daily. Sooner or later, though, the saga will end. Then what? Where will all the Left’s accumulated hatred go? Will it dissipate? Evaporate? And fade away?

Did Eric Holder collude with the "Chicago Outfit" for $300K?

Did Eric Holder collude with the Chicago Outfit for $300K? THE SETTING: When an Illinois casino license became available in the late 1990s, it triggered fierce competition between several cities, all eager to be chosen for the very-profitable, highly-coveted enterprise that is legitimate, big gambling in the Land of Lincoln. THE WINNER: In March 2004, the Illinois Gaming Board awarded the license to the City of Rosemont, Illinois, adjacent to O'Hare Airport.

Why Rod Blagojevich will be home for Christmas

Why Rod Blagojevich will be home for Christmas President Trump will commute former Illinois Governor Rod "Blago" Blagojevich's prison sentence in time for Blago to be home for Christmas, after 6-plus years in the Federal Correctional Institution at Englewood, Colorado. When it happens, the reaction from the two major newspapers in Chicago is predictable. The Chicago Tribune and the Sun Times, but particularly the "Trib," will be apoplectic. Hints to that response have surfaced.

Did DiFi collude with China for 20 years?

Did DiFi collude with China for 20 years? The first cousin of Fake News is Ignored News. Ignored News happens when the liberal media suppresses--in part or in full--a story that's unfavorable to a Democrat politician, political operative, or politically active celebrity in the entertainment, educational or business venues. Ignored News has no competition because it's, well, largely ignored. Or, if it's distributed, it's only "up" for a short time on a secondary news platform.
