When We Take it Back—Then What?

The “HOPE” is long gone from the Obama administration. Actually, HOPE was never really there. But the “CHANGE” is an ongoing battle.

Headlines or Hope?

I dare you! I double-dog dare you! Go ahead. Just look at the current crop of news headlines from anywhere and you’ll wonder just how long before the planet self destructs.

Divine Health Care for America

It’s so simple I can’t believe no one has written about it yet. Unless I have missed the article, I don’t think anyone has nailed the obvious, screwed the superlative, or hammered the health care horsepuckey that Barack Obama is proposing.

The Call to Serve

The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans (8:28) “All things work together for good, to them that love God, who are called according to His purpose.” I had the opportunity to preach on that a few weeks ago in a little Baptist church that is searching for a pastor. There is a lot of hope and joy in the small congregation but they realize the need to find a pastor who will care for them and encourage them to build up the body of Christ. I believe I could be that pastor-- if indeed I were called to serve at that particular church.

Texas Two-Step

I have always been enamored by Texas. Big, brash, boastful, and beautiful. Although my only stay in the Lone Star state was a few days in Paris for our son’s wedding, there is a definite taste to savor that is so different from the other ‘Lower 47’.

American Nightmare

(Fantasy Land, USA) The capitol of the United States of America was changed today from Washington, D.C. to a more suitable semantic: Fantasy Land, D.O. (District of Obama).

Obama and the Resurrection of Conservative America

For a couple of weeks now I have been avoiding the urge to write anything. Instead, I decided to listen and to read all I could from both the conservative and the liberal perspective. I must admit, I have to watch Bill Maher while holding a barf bag on my knee. Pouring over news, commentary, and reader reaction on several websites, it’s easy to conclude that one BHO is heading up the best of times and the worst of times.

A Pastor’s Bribe

I had a lesson in bribery the other day at my job selling cars- yes I am an associate pastor waiting on God to open a door for me to be a Lead or Senior Pastor, but until He does that I believe His will is for me to experience a slice of life that will help me in my ministry. It didn’t take long!

The Log in Your Eye

imageI hope I don’t catch holy hell for this, but the big deal about Obama and his golf course “moment of silence” is a bit contrived. First, when someone is teeing off or addressing the ball, there is always a moment of silence. When I used to golf, that moment of silence was usually followed by a tirade of self-deprecating language.

The Righteous Response of the Right

imageIn a previous column, I mused about the extent of righteous anger in America in light of the onslaught of unconstitutional arrogance of Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. Noting that 63 million lemmings followed this imposter over the cliff of socialism and into a sea of federal government hegemony, it raised a concern that many God fearing constitutionalists have openly voiced: Is the grand experiment of American democracy over?

Is There Enough Righteous Anger Out There?

Many journalists and columnists, all much smarter than I am, have begun to chronicle the incredibly arrogant and blatantly unconstitutional actions of one Barack Obama. The anger is not just from the right-- but it is becoming apparent that some on the left are also appalled at the extent of unlawful overreaching of the federal government. It’s as if Obama thinks this past election was a mandate to kingship. And the sad reality is that the mainstream media for the most part stand and cheer the deconstruction of laws upon which America was built.

Beginning of the End?

The meeting this week between Barack Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will speak volumes as to where the United States will officially stand in relation to its long history of support for Israel. Perhaps we are now at a point and place in history where the United States will no longer reach back to the Bible in its understanding the miraculous fulfillment of prophecy that occurred.

Savaging the First Amendment

As a former radio talk host, I applaud guys like Michael Savage. Because of a little thing called the First Amendment he and such luminaries as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz and others can express the inner turmoil that much of this country has to stomach. How long the First Amendment really applies to a free America under the Obama administration may depend on our Second Amendment rights.

See it all from God’s perspective!

I do not speak for God. But the events of the future are laid out before us in many places of the Bible. So while I am in agreement with many of the writers here at CFP in their statements about our current Occupant in Chief of the White House, I am not rattled by a man who obviously "hates" America, is a puppet of the wealthy and politically powerful Left.

Hate is in the Mind of the Beholder!

The Southern Poverty Law Center reports a surge in the number of hate groups in the United States. The number is up 48 percent since 2001 according to the SPLC. Odds are if you are reading this column you either belong to one of these groups or identify with their socio-political involvement. I have decided to highlight a few of the more “notorious” organizations for your reading pleasure. (taken from DiversityInc)

End of An Empire, Part II?

Historians disagree as to when the greatness that was Rome began its decline. But the similarities between the problems that caused the Roman Empire to crumble and the challenges facing the United States are hard to ignore.

Hannah Montana interprets the Bible

Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) says gay marriages are not only permissible but she believes Jesus loves all and does not discriminate between gay people. Miley was quizzed by gay blogger Perez Hilton, who attacked Miss California Carrie Prejean for her anti-gay marriage stance at the Miss USA pageant over the weekend.

No Fairy Tale

Once upon a time in a land called Providence there lived a virtuous maiden named Morality. She was to betrothed to the handsome and courageous Prince Truth who spent his time fending off evil dragons and generally doing his father’s bidding. King Love desired that all his subjects would honor and respect him and his son and follow the laws of the land.

Time for a Come to Jesus Meeting, Mr. President!

When President Obama declared “We are not a Christian nation”, he was right. What we once were, we no longer are. But before you add your comments to this piece- please digest all of what follows.
