In case you’ve forgotten, Tim Kaine is the Virginia Senator who had the misfortune of attaching his rising star to Hillary Clinton’s presidential catastrophe.
I get it. You’re sitting there, nervously twiddling your thumbs, and you’re worrying. I want you to know that I understand your concerns. I know you’re scared, and I know what you’re thinking: “Will our American democracy survive the presidency of Donald Trump? Will it? Oh, woe is me, if only Al Gore would reassure us!”
“Common sense knife control.” Usually, if you hear that phrase, it’s a facetious remark designed to take the air out of the gun control debate. We all know that gun control laws will be ignored by criminals and, even if it gets harder for them to get a gun, there will still be millions of other weapons out there. Take away the guns and eventually you’ll need to take away the knives, cars, baseball bats, etc.
On Friday, the feds seized a despicable website known as Backpage.com and charged its founder with 93 counts related to human trafficking. If you’ve never heard of the site, congratulations. That’s probably a sign that you’re a good person. Backpage was a bowels-of-the-internet message board where pimps and sex workers could post advertisements designed to sell themselves, their prostitutes, and – in some cases – children.
As far as I’m concerned, virtually ALL tax cuts are good tax cuts. I am, with almost 100% certainty, sure that I can spend my money better than Washington. So, if I get to keep it, that’s good. Considering how much they waste on a daily, monthly, and annual basis, D.C. can do with less and I’ll be happy with a few extra bucks in my savings account.
I don’t have much to add to the following video except to say: “I bet the average law-abiding gun owner has said this a thousand times around their dinner table.”
Also, I’d argue that (while this is a great video directly related to firearm ownership) gun control isn’t the only issue to which it applies. The simple fact is that normal, responsible, honest people in the country are absolutely fed up with being ignored while simultaneously being taxed into oblivion. You could choose any one of a hundred issues and the central argument would still be valid. Good people are being repeatedly penalized by a government that refuses to deal with real issues – because doing so is either difficult, politically incorrect, or both.
A wise man once offered this bit of advice: “Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it. Don’t wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men’s store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.”

You worked hard, you saved your money, you built up your credit, and you bought a home for your family. It’s not an apartment or a duplex, either. In the past, when embattled Fox News hosts have taken a “short vacation,” it hasn’t gone well for them. For better or worse, Bill O’Reilly and Eric Bolling both took outrage-inspired “breaks” that ended up becoming permanent after a few days. It appears Laura Ingraham will not suffer the same fate, as Fox News has issued a strong statement in her defense.
For Democrats, there’s no tax increase too massive, no tax-and-spend black hole they won’t throw your money into, and no social program too fiscally irresponsible for them to support. They’ve never met a tax hike they couldn’t justify and, if they run into any trouble, they just trot out the old “the rich don’t play their fair share” line.
As you know, Hillary Clinton blew her last shot at the presidency over a year ago. Election day 2016 is now over 16 months in the past, and Trump has been in office for more than a year. Still, miraculously, Mrs. Clinton hasn’t managed to exhaust her 2017 Excuse-A-Day calendar.
Democrats want the 2nd Amendment gone. The elimination of your right to bear arms has been at or near the top of their agenda for years. For a long time, they danced around it. They’d pretend they were big 2A supporters, pay lip service to “tradition,” and film a few campaign ads where they went duck hunting in a khaki vest and a plaid hat. It was all a lie. The truth has always been that they can’t wait for the day when you no longer have the right to defend yourself.
On Tuesday, rejected 2016 wannabe Jeb! Bush gave a speech at Yale. According to the Yale News, Jeb! is trying to move past his disastrous 2016 effort ...by trashing implying that Donald Trump's kids don't love him.
It's getting hard to keep track of all the lies Democrats have told about the investigation into supposed "Russian collusion" with the Trump campaign. From the origins of "the dossier," to the FISA application, to the whole wiretapping scandal the falsehoods, half-truths, and untenable innuendo has been piling up for over a year. To keep track of them all, you'd need one of those crazy conspiracy theorist walls with red string connecting all the players.
As we told you yesterday, Democrats are in full freakout mode over the possibility that the next US Census could include one simple, easy to answer, question.

Yesterday, Dan did a nice job of eviscerating retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens' asinine mainstreaming of the idea that the United States should repeal the 2nd Amendment. If you haven't read that, you can do so here. Most of Stevens' argument centers around the District of Columbia v. Heller decision which reaffirmed the unarguable fact that firearm ownership is - and always was - an individual right.
